    Description

This auction is for a 1996 proof set of 6 Australian coins--, , $.50, $.20, $.10 and $.05--from the Royal Australian Mint.  There are no silver coins in this set, which honors Sir Henry Parkes, the "Father of Federation."  The set is very handsomely packaged in a blue suede-looking book-like holder that also contains a brochure about Sir Henry Parkes and comes in an attractive outer cardboard box.  The pictures that accompany this listing show not only the obverse and reverse of the set but also both sides of the box.
At a starting price of , which is 1/3 the catalog value of 5 that is listed in the 2019 edition of Krause's
    Standard Catalog of World Coins
, this proof set is a great value for a beginning collector or for a dealer to put into inventory.
After 45 years of buying U.S. coin collections that often also contained a number of foreign coins, we are liquidating an accumulation of over 600,000 world coins.
Because we want to get rid of all these coins, we are not accepting any returns on any of these items.
Will combine shipping.  If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me.  Thanks for looking.
