    Description

This is a 1942 Australian One Pound Note.
King George VI graces the portal on the right, the watermark of James Cook is in the "blank" portal on the left, and the Australian Coat of Arms in the center. The reverse is a pastoral scene of farmers tending sheep. This is the Armitage McFarlane one pound banknote. The main print is dark green with a pale red one pound symbol.
It is a circulated banknote that was folded in quarters. A tiny hole is at the center fold point and can be seen in photo 3 near the farmer's hand.
I am neither a collector nor a notaphilist,
but based on my readings, I would say it is a grade of Fine 12.
